Robert W. Benson, President, has served as CEO since 1995, and has over 20 years of experience in Project Management and Estimating. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, Rolla and is a Registered Licensed Contractor for all areas of operation.

Michael R. Kranefuss, Vice President, has extensive experience in Project Management and Estimating for various medium/large commercial construction projects. He currently serves as our company representative to NECA. Mike has been with Benson since 1970.

Gerald J. Bayer, Vice President, is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri, Rolla with a BS in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Management. He specializes in heavy industrial construction projects. Jerry has been with Benson since 1972.

Kenneth C. Krickhahn, Project Manager, is responsible for selling some of our largest commercial projects. He graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia with a degree in Marketing. Ken serves on the Apprenticeship Interviewing Committee with NECA, and has been with Benson since 1987.

David M. Spotanski, Project Manager, has expertise in project scheduling and planning and is proficient in PrimaVera's "Finest Hour". He has a degree in Construction Technology and is certified through NECA/IBEW "Amp-Act" Communications. He is responsible for estimating and managing large industrial/commercial fast track projects. Dave has been with Benson since 1990.

John P. Eyermann, Project Engineer, P.E. John is responsible for design build, commercial and hospital projects. He graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale with a BS in Electrical Engineering and has been with Benson since 1996.

Steven Tallent, Purchasing Agent. Steve is involved in all aspects of material requisition and tool management for Benson and has been with the company since 1983.

Sally J. Zenhle, Office Manager. Sally is a graduate of Saint Louis University with a BA in Accounting. She is responsible for the day-to-day processing and has been with Benson since 1996.

Benson Electric is a Design/Build Industrial/Commercial/Institutional electrical contracting firm specializing in process control, high voltage, power systems, new construction and commercial remodel work. As design build, we have developed a special expertise in production wiring for Health Care and Institutional Facilities with successful installations for most all of the Hospitals in the Greater St. Louis Area.

Labor
We are a union contractor affiliated with the IBEW, LOCAL #1 and a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association, which sponsors the Quality Connection between labor and management. Accordingly, all our wiremen have completed the IBEW training course and HAZ-COM training. We conduct regular construction safety instruction and suggestion meetings. Our safety program is certified by the state of Missouri and our EMR is .71.

Equipment
The equipment we have available includes the latest electronic and high voltage test equipment, infra red scanners for detecting defective electrical connections, and man hoists. We currently have over 30 Trucks or Service Vans on the road and stage our materials from a 20,000-sq. ft. warehouse. We have the capacity to rent or lease any additional equipment necessary.

Capacity
We employ up to 125 wiremen and technicians. In addition, we have approximately 35 foreman who have an average of at least 10 years with Benson Electric. This provides us with a pool of expertise in commercial and institutional electrical installations. We are available to do service truck maintenance work as well as major new construction in the $2M to $4M range.
